Phyllis Imelda Audain (nee Redhead) daughter of Dr. Theophilus Anatole and Dorothy Maud Redhead of the district of St. George’s, Grenada passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, October 4, 2015.

Phyllis was a humanitarian, teacher, singer, artist and devoted mother. In her early years in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, she was a prefect at the prestigious Bishops Anstey High School, a soloist and ensemble member of church and community choirs and the arts administrator of Queens Hall, a Performing Arts Theatre. After immigrating to Canada, Phyllis studied and worked as an Occupational Therapist at Camp Hill Hospital and the Victoria General in Halifax. She eventually moved to Moncton where she became actively involved in the Roman Catholic community as a catechism instructor and studied and became a gifted painter of oils on canvas. In her later years, Phyllis settled in Toronto where she worked as a medical receptionist at the chiropody clinic of the Toronto General Hospital and privately for a holistic doctor and clinical nutritionist. After many years away, Phyllis retired in Moncton before being admitted to Spencer's Memorial Home where she lived the remainder of her years.

The family would like to thank her extended family at Spencer's for their outstanding service and exemplary care.

She was predeceased by her brother Dr. Tony Redhead of Scotland, son Trevor and his partner Nikki Skerritt of St. Kitts and survived by grandson Andre also of St. Kitts, her son Anthony and partner Rob Lindey of Toronto, sister-in-law Dr. Doris Redhead, nephew Steven Redhead of Scotland and niece Wendy Collins-Redhead of New Zealand.

A celebration of Phyllis' life will take place at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 3:00pm with Father Charles Broderick officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.
