Emma Agnes Dobson Mowat Young of Campbellton and formerly of
Riverview passed away at The Campbellton Regional Hospital on November
21, 2015.Born in Bathurst in 1933, Emma was the middle child of the
late Hudson and Caroline (Morrison) Dobson.
Emma graduated from Soldiers Memorial School of Nursing in
1954. Emma worked for several years at Soldiers Memorial
Hospital before moving to Riverview where up until her retirement she
was the Nursing Supervisor at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial
Home.
She is survived by her children: Dale (Cheryl)
Mowat of Halifax, NS, Wayne (Nancy) Mowat of Campbellton and
Susan (Robert) Surrette of Lantz, NS; her grandchildren:
Neil, Jenna, Matthew (Wanda), Natasha (Rick), Jenette (Mitchell) and
Janis (David), a step daughter, Gayle Young, her
great-grandchildren: Taryn, Sebastian, Dakota, Joshua and
Lilly; her sister, Doris (Armand) Roy; brothers: Hubert
(Marg), Byron (Carmel), Harold, Dannie and Ernest (Jeanie):
sister-in-law Anne (Arthur) Stewart, many nieces, nephews and special
friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by son
Wesley, husband Forbes, sister, Pat, brothers; Howard, Leslie Donald,
Louis, and Charles.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Tuesday from 6-8 PM, with a service
celebrating Emma’s life to take place on Wednesday, November
25, 2015 at 11AM from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel
with Rev. Scott Ryder officiating. The interment will take place at
Fair Haven Cemetery. Donations to The Oncology Department of The
Moncton Hospital or The Spencer Home Foundation. Online condolences
