On June 27th 2016, with family by her
side, Audrey left this earthly place to be with her Lord and Saviour.
After a lengthy illness and then a stroke in May, she has found the
peace she so deserved.
Born in Parrsboro, NS, in April of 1938, she was the eldest
daughter of Cecil (Sam) and Dorothy (Dot) Forbes, both deceased.
Audrey is survived by her sisters Sandra (Ron) MacLean and Shirley
(Glenford) Hatfield of Nova Scotia and her brother David (Lynda) of
Caledon Ont. as well as many nieces, nephews and
cousins.
In April of 1957 Audrey married and is survived by Roderick
(Rod) Hyslop She is also survived by their two daughters, Cindy
(D’Arcy) Quinlan and Debbie Hyslop both of Riverview NB. As
well, Audrey has four grandchildren of whom she was so proud and
filled her heart with love. Lori Coull (Josh LeBlanc) of Seoul South
Korea, Kelly Coull (Marc Lecenaire) of Dieppe N B, Matthew Coull
(Jessica Cruickshank) of Dieppe N B and Calvin Hyslop (Viki Chaisson)
Stratford PEI.
The newest additions to Audrey’s family came with
the birth of her two precious great granddaughters in 2015. Leah
Audrey Coull arrived on July 28th and Alexa
Jade Hyslop on December 6th. Gramma’s
"babies" were so loved and she can count of our
family to keep her memory alive as she watches over us
all.
Audrey was a quiet woman, often letting our boisterous family
chatter away while she was content to just be with us, voicing her
opinion or interjecting a little story whenever she saw fit. We all
enjoyed "game nights" and she enjoyed teaching her
grand children card and board games. She loved making things with her
hands, always with love and patience and beautiful results. She was an
avid knitter, cross stitcher, reader, created ceramic pieces and
enjoyed time in her kitchen baking for us all.
While our family will miss her terribly, we know she has gone
before us to a better place and will forever watch over us all. She
will be our angel moving forward just as she was during her life here
on earth.
Thank you to all of her caregivers, nurses and doctors on 4C,
3C and palliative care at the Dr Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton N
B for all you have done to make Audrey as comfortable as possible
during her stay with you.
Visitation will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home
and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on
Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 2:00-4:00pm. In lieu of flowers,
donations made to the CHU Dumont Foundation Palliative Care Unit or
Bethel Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
