Joyce Fisher of Riverview, 77, passed away peacefully on July
21, 2016 at The Moncton Hospital after a brief but courageous battle
with cancer. Raised in Moncton, she was predeceased by her
mother, Marjorie Rawline, who she adored, and her father, Gordon
Rawline, both of Moncton, NB.
Joyce had a very sharp mind and a quick wit. In her
early years, Joyce worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia where she was
beloved by her clients and coworkers. Once motherhood
arrived, she stayed home to raise her children into early
adulthood. She was a loving mother and ran an immaculate and
very organized household. During those years, she
was involved with the Bridgetown Theatre group, Bathurst Kinette club,
Girl Guides of Canada, and the Riverview bowling league. Later, she
greatly enjoyed working for Instore Focus, and treasured the many
people she met as a result.
She mostly enjoyed quiet times, loving music, especially
"Elvis", walks in the park, needlework, reading,
scrapbooking and puzzles of any kind, the more challenging, the
better. She also enjoyed spending summers at the cottage in
Shediac with her family. She worked wonders in the
kitchen. No one can beat her apple pie, a skill she most
recently passed onto her husband, for all of us to continue to enjoy.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Gerald (Bud)
of Moncton NB; son Brian, his wife Lori and their children, Erin and
Kevin of Moncton NB; son Dean, his wife Louiseann and their children
Haley and Kyle, of Mississauga, ON; and daughter Sharon (Lewis), her
partner Paul, her children Scott and Jenna and their father, Kevin,
all of Moncton, NB.
She is also survived by two step sisters, Diane Rawline
Linton and Lynne Rawline O’Connor Connell, one
brother-in-law, Layton Fisher, and several nieces and
nephews. She is predeceased by her sister-in-law, Jean
Fisher (nee Anthony).
You meant the world to us and always will.
