Ray Glenen of Riverview passed away Tuesday August 23, 2016 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Montreal he was the son of the late John and Ellen (Cotnam) Glenen.

Ray was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the Royal Canadian Navy. After spending time as a salesman in the Montreal area, his family gladly moved to Moncton where he continued to work in sales. He then decided to train and work at MCRI as a Human Service Councillor. He enjoyed interacting with the people he faithfully served. He retired from Moncton Community Residences at age of 65 and thoroughly enjoyed the years left to him.

He attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He was a proud husband, father and grandfather who always managed to keep busy, yet it was his family that he was most proud of.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Cecelia (Quinlan), daughters; Donna Cruickshank (Todd) of Moncton, Mary Glenen-Calder (Mike) and Karin Glenen-Gosselin both of Mississauga, sons: Ray (Jill) of Lower Sackville, Mark (Patricia) of Toronto, Rob (Laura Lamey) of Grand Barachois and John of Riverview. He is also survived by a brother, Ralph (Faye) of Stellarton, NS, and fifteen grandchildren; Tyler (Lauren), Heather, Katlin, Laura, Cory, Marisa, Haley, Casey, Zach, Adam, Sam, Faith, Amy, Colleen and Quinlan.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Friday August 26, 2016 from 6-8 PM.

A private family service will take place at a later date at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Donations to the War Amps in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca.
