Jeffrey (Red) MacPhail of Moncton passed away at his residence on Friday, June 16, 2017. Born in Pictou, NS, he was the son of the late Nathan and Cassie (Clarke) MacPhail.

Jeffrey had retired from the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1983 at the rank of Master Corporal, and then went on to work for the Public Service at the old #5 until 1994. He enjoyed watching sports (especially his Yankees and Blackhawks), spending time with his buddies at the IOOB (regaling them with his wit and charm - "my friend"), yet it was those cherished moments spent with his grand children that were true to his heart.

He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Marlene MacPhail of Halifax, sons: Sid (Debbie) of Riverview and Evan (Mary Eileen) of Bedford, sister, Annabelle Munro of Pictou, brother, Harvey (Barb) of Pictou, grand children; Cassie, Steven and Rachael. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Alice (Murray) MacPhail as well as brothers Sidney, Walter (Bubby), Roy and Ross, and sisters Patsy, Janet (Nin), Joan and Eleanor (Sis).

The family extends an invitation to friends and relatives to join them at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday June 22nd from 6-8 PM, to share and celebrate his life.
