Earl Meredith of Riverview, N.B. passed away, surrounded by his loving family, at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, November 12, 2017 Born in Meredith Settlement N.B. he was the eldest son of the late Leslie Meredith of Meredith Settlement and Lucy (Wilson) Meredith of McAdam, N.B.
Earl worked at a sawmill and as a woods worker in his early years. He was also a registered hunting guide. He worked as a CPR brakeman for 13 years in McAdam, N.B. and as a truck driver in the city of Moncton N.B. for 33 years. Earl was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Riverview, N.B. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Linda Lutes of Riverview, son, Carl (Melba) Meredith of Irishtown, N.B., his three grandchildren: Lisa (Alan) Cormier, Christena Meredith and Sheila Meredith  as well as four great grandchildren: Brandon, Alyssa and Amy Leblanc and Ryan Cormier. Earl is survived by two sisters:, Alice Babineau, Shirley Arsenault and  his half-sister, Jean McCarthy. He was predeceased by his wife Annie in 2005, his daughter Ethel Jean in infancy, sisters Stella Farlow, and Isabel Cudmore, brothers Leslie, Fred and Ernest Meredith and half-brothers; Ronald and Robert Goodwin. The family will receive relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, a service celebrating Earl’s Life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11 AM with Rev. Jim Eagles officiating. The interment will take place at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In Earl’s memory, donations made to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
