Donna Lea Hearnshaw of Riverview passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital with her loving family at her side.

Born in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late James and Sylvia (Pearce) Hawkins. Donna was a faithful and active member of The Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, as well as, the Ladies Society at the church and could always be counted on for any function that was taking place. She volunteered with the Albert County Food Bank and along with her husband, Peter, they opened their doors as billets for members of the Moncton Wild Cats. Donna had recently retired from Sears following a 35 year career.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Peter of over 50 years, sons; James of Moncton, Ron (Debbie) of Cole Harbour, NS and Larry (Jennifer) of Fox Lake AB, sisters; Linda Mell of Montreal, Nancy Lussier (Ed) of Winnipeg and Christine Hogue (Al) of Montreal, grand children; Theresa, Samantha, Jayden and Kayley, as well as, several nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, with parish prayers and sharing of memories to take place at 7:30 pm from the funeral home. The funeral mass will be celebrated from The Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Fatima Dr., Riverview on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 2 pm, with Father Phil Mulligan presiding. The interment will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery. Donations to The Canadian Cancer Society or The CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
