Marilyn was predeceased by her first husband, Jack Thompson, her second husband, William Kerr, her son, John, and her brother, Milton Wheeler.
Marilyn will be remembered as an extraordinary woman. A natural life of the party, she loved people, travel, music and winning at Yahtzee, but was most at peace by the water. The sound of the waves and the sight of the setting sun brought her closer to God. A member of First Baptist Moncton, Marilyn filled many roles throughout her life in the church and was a long-time member of the Sanctuary Choir.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Friday, January 12, from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A funeral service celebrating her life will take place at First Baptist Moncton (157 Queen St., Moncton) on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Richard Jackson officiating. The family-attended interment will take place following the funeral reception. Donations may be made in Marilyn’s memory to First Baptist Moncton or to a charity of choice.
