Gordon Duncan MacDonald

Gordon MacDonald of Lakeview Manor, formerly of Moncton, passed away at his residence on Thursday, February 8, 2018. Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Arnold and Beatrice (Butler) MacDonald. He was a retired brakeman with CNR where he worked for over thirty-five years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors snowmobiling, relaxing with his dog, or tinkering around with cars.

He will be dearly missed by his daughters: Pam Gerrard (Allan) of Quispamsis, Jodi Melanson (Gilles) of Moncton, Tracey Bader (Robert) of Vancouver, BC; granddaughters Isabelle and Emily; sisters Shirley Dickson (Alan) of Tide Head and Patsy Fancy of Peterborough, ON; brothers Earl of Maple Ridge, BC and William "Bill" of Hinton, AB; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters: Audrey Jollimore, Mary Gallie, and Joan McEachern; and brothers: Vance, Frederick "Freddie", Ronald "Ronnie" and David.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007). In honouring Gordon’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The interment will take place in United Church Cemetery, Flatlands, at a later date. Donations can be made in Gordon’s memory to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
