MacDonald, Isabel H. of Riverview, NB passed away
peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, February 24, 2018
surrounded by her loving family. Isabel was born in Kouchibouguac, the
daughter of the late Ernest and Ruby (Day) Carter.
Cherished wife of the late Sydney MacDonald, Isabel is
survived by her three children: Lana (Robert) MacDonald of Amherst,
NS; Jeffrey (Joanne) MacDonald of Moncton; and Wendy (Derrick)
Bathurst of Riverview. She was a very proud grandparent of six
grandchildren: Erin, Ryan, Monica, Lauren, Brendan and Bryce and three
great-grandchildren: Nolan, Austin, and Sydney.
A devoted wife and mother, Isabel’s strength of
character was exemplified in her love for her family. Between
tirelessly supporting her children as they pursued their interests and
keeping her household running smoothly with home-cooked meals and an
open door. Isabel’s warmth, tenacity, and unfailing sense of
humour endeared her to everyone she met. Isabel was outgoing and
bright, always ready to make company feel at home with an infectious
smile.
Isabel will be sadly missed by her siblings Willard, Esther,
Robert, Floyd and Shirley. She was predeceased by one sister, Julia.
She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and life-long
friends.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 3:00
– 4:30pm followed by the interment in Pine Hill Cemetery,
Salisbury. Remembrances in Isabel’s memory may be
made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation. Online
