Gayle Ogilvie, 60, of Dieppe passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, April 20, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan and raised in greater Moncton, she was the daughter of Eva (Kit) and the late Gerald Ogilvie.

Gayle graduated from Moncton High School and later obtained a Bachelor of Science from Dalhousie University. Before retiring as a team leader for the Nova Scotia Health Authority in South Shore, NS where she worked for over 20 years, Gayle was employed as a physiotherapist at The Moncton Hospital, Extra-Mural Program and the Rheumatoid Arthritis Association of NS. She will always be remembered for her passion for animals, music and the outdoors.

Gayle will be deeply missed by her mother, Eva; sister Heather Steeves (Winston) of Riverview; brother Graeme (Valerise) of Dieppe; nieces Andréa Laplante (Luc) and Isabelle Ogilvie; nephews Ben Keirstead (Michelle) and Luc Ogilvie; great nephews: Dylan, Zachary, Oliver (Keirstead), Théo and Félix (Laplante). Besides her father, she was predeceased by her life partner, Marla Rafuse.

A memorial service to honour Gayle will take place on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, 28 Woolridge Street in Riverview, followed by a reception. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007). Donations in Gayle’s memory, can be made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (4100 Unit), the IWK, or the Greater Moncton SPCA.
