After a  very long and fulfilling life, Evelyn A. Craig passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side at Monarch Hall, Riverview on Friday, September 21, 2018.

Evelyn was born in Jollimore, Halifax, NS, in 1919 where she resided for 92 year.

She will be dearly missed by her son, Michael (Freda) of Truro, daughter, Annette Radtke (David) of Upper Coverdale, grandchildren; Dan (Kim), Ashley, Elizabeth and John, great grandson, Zachary as well as several loved nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, George and her parents, John and Alvina (Robichaud) Slauenwhite. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was also predeceased by brothers; Clarence, Roy, Gerald and Donald and sister Cecelia.

Evelyn grew up witnessing the Great Depression and World War II. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Williams Lake and Northwest Arm where she met George, her husband to be, on the barrens picking blueberries; an activity she enjoyed into her eighties. She and George raised their family in the secure and friendly village of Jollimore. A devoted Roman Catholic, she attended and worked for her church St. John The Baptist.

She and George enjoyed many trips within the Maritimes and Eastern USA. A marvelous cook and homemaker, everyone was welcome at her table. Evelyn and her sister Cecelia (Aunt Laly) loved dancing and old-time fiddle music attending concerts and volunteering at workshops. Evelyn will be remembered as loyal, witty, "tell it like it is" lady who now rests with her savior.

Many thanks to the staff at Royal Court, Canterbury and Monarch Halls in Riverview for their kindness and care where Evelyn resided in her later years
