Rhoda Ellen Breckenridge

Rhoda Ellen Breckenridge passed away peacefully on Friday, October 5, 2018. She was born in Boom Road, New Brunswick, the daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Allison) Allison.

She is survived and sadly missed by her husband of 63 years, George Breckenridge of Moncton, her children Karen Currie (Ranal) of Moncton, Cheryl Marek (Ted) of Markham, Ontario, Kevin Breckenridge (Joanne) of Tyndall, Manitoba and her cherished grandchildren James (Melissa), Heather, Joshua (Cian), Luke, Krysten (Ken) and Ryan (Jaclyn).

Rhoda is remembered with love by her sisters Edrie Breckenridge (Ford), Ruth Breckenridge, Sharon Flanagan (Clifford) and Marie Fleming (Ron), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Rhoda was predeceased by her sisters Nellie Breckenridge and Ferne Good, her brother Reg Allison and her brothers-in-law, John Breckenridge and Sterling Good.

Rhoda fully embraced her life as a wife, mother and grandmother. She was most at home in her kitchen preparing meals and treats for family as well as those in need. In her earlier years, Rhoda was active in Children's Ministries, and Women's Ministries at Glad Tidings Church, as well as serving a term as church treasurer.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview NB – 869-2007, on Thursday, October 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Glad Tidings Church, 2460 Mountain Rd, Moncton, NB. on Friday, October 12 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society Canada, Glad Tidings Church, or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
