Muriel Tower of Drew Nursing Home, formerly of Riverview,
passed away peacefully on November 6, 2018 at her residence. Born in
Rockport, NB., she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Tecla
(Ward) Tower.
Muriel began her career at Enamel & Heating, in
Sackville, followed by Metropolitan Life Insurance in Moncton before
she started with the Bank of Nova Scotia. She took leave to raise her
family and then returned to and retired from the NB Department of
Public Works. She was very much involved with the Bridgedale Seniors
Club where she served as secretary and treasurer.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Gail Donovan
(Roger) of Rockport; son Ken Tower (Nicole) of Rockport, NB;
grandchildren: Jeff, Jeremy and Jennifer; sisters Gertrude Pacholzuk
(late Weldon) of Kelowna, BC., Rhoda Matthews (late Bud) of Campobello
Island, NB., and Iris Watson (Harold) of Dundas, ON; brother Ernest
Tower (late Paulette) of Moncton; sister-in-law Ruby Tower of Moncton;
as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Muriel was
predeceased by her husband Leonard in 1990, her brother Robert and
sister Audrey Smith (late Wallace).
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview (869-2007) on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 6:00
– 8:00pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral
home on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11:00am with Rev. Carol Mullen
officiating. The interment will take place in Wilmot Cemetery.
Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society or a memorial of the
donor’s choice.
