Hans Bosshard of Upper Coverdale, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, January 21, 2019 from a severe and sudden stroke, with his wife, Jeannette, and his two sons, Mike and Andy by his side.

Born in Switzerland, he came to Montreal in 1966 where he met his future wife. They would eventually settle in Riverview, NB, to raise their sons and remain in the Moncton/Riverview area to this day.

Hans always enjoyed being outside, whether it was a hike with his wife or going for a solo bike ride and trying to hit the 7,000 km mark for the summer. Of course, in the winter Hans could be found skiing and instructing at Poley Mountain for as long as most can remember. He enjoyed sharing his love of skiing with everyone, including strangers, but of course, he most enjoyed the time spent on the slopes with his family, especially his two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Rhye.

Hans will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years Jeannette Bosshard (nee Isler), sons; Mike (Nicole) Bosshard of Moncton, Andy (Treena) Bosshard of Moncton, brothers; Heinrich (Beatrix) Bosshard of Switzerland, Walter Bosshard of France, grandchildren; Gabrielle, Rhye and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, E1B 0E4 (869-2007). A service will take place at a later date. Donations in Hans’ memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
