Otty Burns, 94, passed away peacefully at the Forest Dale Home on Saturday, November 16, 2019. Born in Penobsquis, NB, he was the youngest son of the late John Burns and Letitia (Hanlon).

He will be sadly missed by his daughter Diana O’Connor (Gary) of Harvey, NB; son Paul (Gail) of Riverview; daughter-in-law Mary of Riverview; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Wilma (Martin) in 2004; son Murray in 2016; sisters Bernice, Mary, Mildred and Helen; brothers Jack, Murray, Delbert, Mike, Leo and Donald.

A long-time resident of Riverview (and Alma previously), Otty was the long-time construction supervisor for Dobson Construction, an avid golfer and a long-time member of the Moncton Golf & Country Club. He was very proud, at age 75, to get a hole-in-one and shoot under his age twice.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the team at Forest Dale Home for the wonderful care they provided.

The family will be receiving relatives & friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview (869-2007) on Monday, November 18 from 6:00 to 8:00. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 19 at 10:30 am with Rev. Steve Berube officiating. Interment in Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview.
