Fred Kennedy of Riverview passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Halifax he was the son of the late Robert J. and Kathleen (Durling) Kennedy.

He will be dearly missed by his sons: Christopher, Jason (Terra) and Bradley, brothers; Robert (Emma) and Raymond (Dawn) as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Cathy (Pender) Kennedy in September 2017.

Fred had a wonderful working career, which he dedicated himself to delivering exceptional customer service. He was the former Executive Director of PDAS, only later to become self employed as a logistic consultant and the owner of Seaspray Management Systems Inc. for over 30 years. He was a member of the Moncton Golf and Country Club, an active member of his parish at Immaculate Heart of Mary and a third degree member of The Knights of Columbus Council 9470. He was a loving dad and husband who cherished his family and was a generous man who appreciated his community of friends.

As Fred, Cathy and their close friends were fond of toasting, "here’s to us, and those like us... damn few left!" 

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm with parish prayers taking place at 7:30pm.

A funeral mass celebrating his life will take place from Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Fatima Drive, Riverview on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10am. Interment will take place at a later date in the Alderwood Cemetery. Donations in Fred’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
