It is with profound sadness, that we announce that our beautiful, smart, witty mother snowshoed out peacefully surrounded by the love of her six children on July 7, 2020 at the Grass Home in Riverview, NB

Born in Chartersville, NB in 1931, she was predeceased by her parents Helen and Don Dunham and by her husband Cerdic.

She will be deeply missed by her six children; David (Sandra) Byron Ontario, their children Elizabeth, Sean and Lindsay, Mike (Susan) Saint John, NB, their son Mitchell; Heather (Randy) Jensen, New Denmark; their two children Matthew and Natalie; Ian (Susan) St George, Ontario, their children Andrew and Megan; Holly (Dwight Everett) Steeves Fredericton; her children Aaron and Brittney; Kim (Dan) Smith, Elgin and their children Catherine, Charles and Levi, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the baby of her family and is also survived by her brother Bob Dunham and sister Betty Ayer, sisters in law Dorothy Meldrum, Rowena Brown, Marilyn McKenzie and several nieces and nephews.

Mom was retired from the Moncton Hospital, was a member of Albert County Liberal Association, Riverview Senior’s Bowling League, U.C.W and St Paul’s United Church.

Gwen was a quilter and cross stitch extraordinaire of which she won many awards at the Albert County Fair. She loved gardening and always had cookies at the ready whenever the grandkids arrived for a visit. She loved spending time with her ‘muffin girls’.

We would like to thank the staff at the Grass Home, Riverview for their exceptional care and compassion shown to our mother, especially in the last days.

Due to Covid 19 and us being a family of huggers, there will only be a private interment at River View Cemetery in Hopewell Cape. Donations made to St Paul’s U.C.W. Riverview or Riverview Wine Kitz (for the girls) would be greatly appreciated by Gwendolyn’s family. Her arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007). Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
