Anne Robichaud of Riverview passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at The Grass Home. Born in Mundleville, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Viola (Fahey) McPherson. She leaves to mourn her two sons, Alan of Riverview and Randy (Kim) of Main River, two grandsons Rhys and Duncan, special granddaughter Cassandra Belanger and her goddaughter Julie Hudson, as well as many cousins and special friends. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Paul in 2001 and an infant brother.

Anne had a lengthy career as a teacher having taught in Richibucto, Elsipogtog First Nations and later in Rexton until her retirement. She was active in the school system for nearly 50 years, organized the Breakfast Program at the Rexton Elementary School, delivered Meals on Wheels and organized Santa’s Helpers. She received the Melvin Jones Fellowship from the Rexton Lion’s Club and the Governor General Caring Canadian Award.

She owned and operated her own catering business. She was a board member of the Rexton Area Health Care Foundation. She was very active in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Riverview as Mass Co-ordinator, Catechetics, Card Party organizer, Dinner Theatre Volunteer and on the Finance Committee.  Prior to moving to Riverview, Anne was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the CWL in Rexton.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview NB (869-2007) on Sunday from 1:00 – 2:30 PM (FOR SENIORS AGE 65 AND OVER) and from 3:00 – 5:00 PM . The funeral mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 5 Fatima Drive, Riverview, NB on Monday, July 20, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Father Phil Mulligan presiding. Due to Covid 19 social distancing all those planning on attending the funeral mass are asked to phone or email the funeral home to reserve seating with the number in your group (Bubble) to assure seating. The interment will take place in Chapel Point Cemetery following the mass. Donations may be made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church or Chapel Point Cemetery.
