Donald Jones of Riverview passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at The Moncton Hospital.  Born in Tracy, NB he was the son of the Late William and Christina (MacKinnon) Jones.  Family was very important to Donald and he was a hard worker. The last number of years, he enjoyed working at Centennial Self Storage, Moncton, NB, where he considered the Owners and Management to be like family. Donald attended St. Paul’s United Church.  He enjoyed his time square dancing and spending time at their cottage in Rusticoville, PEI.

He will be dearly missed by his wife Clare; daughter Cheryl Dawn (Kevin) Cormier; sister Shirley (Austin) Estabrooks; brother Paul (Shirley) Jones; sister in law Annie Jones and several nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents he was predeceased by a brother Arthur, four sisters Pearl Pillsworth, Grace Reimer, Isabel Harper and Linda Manning.

A special thanks to the Physicians and the Palliative Care Nursing staff at the Moncton City Hospital, as well as the Extra-Mural Nurses, for the wonderful care they provided to Donald.

Donald’s family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday, September 24, 2020 from 3-5 pm. Due to Covid-19 masks are highly recommended.  A private service to celebrate Donald’s life will take place from the funeral home on Friday, September 25, 2020, with Rev. Dr. Andy O’Neill officiating. Donald's burial will take place at the United Church Cemetery in Central Lot 16, PEI, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Paul’s United Church or a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by his family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
