Peter Lockhart of Lower Coverdale passed away on October 28, 2020 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Thomas and Ida Lockhart (Bannister).

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Rhonda (Hanlon); daughter, Heidi Robichaud (Roy) of Quispamsis; son, William Lockhart (Anne-Marie Vautour) of Moncton; grandchildren, Keith and Brandon Robichaud; sister, Margaret Geldart of Havelock, NB; brother Gary Kenny (Chris) of Moncton; sisters in law Peggy Lockhart and Connie Lutes  as well as several nephews and nieces.  Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by brothers; Leonard Lockhart and Thomas Lockhart.

He graduated from Harrison Trimble and was employed as a truck driver for 38 years and then worked for Canada Post for 5 years as a rural mail courier.  Peter was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6 and the Air Force Veterans Club. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cottage in Cumberland Bay.  His pride and joy was time spent in his garage.  He was a man with lots of stories and jokes and enjoyed the laughter of all who knew him.

His family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on  Monday November 2, 2020 from 5:00 – 6:30 PM (For seniors 65 and over) and  from 6:30 – 8:00 PM (for the general public). Due to Covid 19 restrictions Face coverings are required.  A private service will take place from the funeral home on Tuesday, November 3 2020 with Rev. Steve Berube officiating.  The interment will take place in Wilmot Cemetery. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by his family.
