It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gus Pettipas wish to announce his passing at The Moncton Hospital on November 6th, 2020.  Born in Glace Bay, NS, he was the son of the late Gus and Melvina (Deruelle) Pettipas.

Gus was the manager and co-owner of the family business for over 44 years, Moncton Transit, Tours to Remember and Metro School Bus. He and Linda were also 50+ year members of the NB Antique Auto Club.

He will be remembered for the love he gave to his grandchildren, animals and anything Ford.

Gus loved his family dearly and was the Glue that kept everyone together, he will be dearly missed by his wife of over 52 years Linda Pettipas, who he met on the steps of Oulton Business College in 1964. He will also be remembered and missed by his sons: Dale (Lisa Steeves), Craig (Betty Chapman), Paul (Karen Melanson), sister Brenda (Kent) Robinson, brothers: Brian (Nan Charlotte), Brent (Ginette), grandchildren: Amber-Lee, Ericka, Megan, Wyatt, several nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law: Warren (Evelyn) Lemon, Wendell (Carole) Lemon and his extended family members Rhonda Wilmot Symonds and Shannon Pettipas.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Tuesday November the 10th, 2020 from 3:00pm-4:30pm (for seniors 65 and over) and 4:30pm-6:00pm (for the general public),  with COVID-19 measures in place (masks are required). A Celebration of life will be held Wednesday at 1:00pm, if you wish to attend the service please call Cobb’s Funeral Home to reserve your seat. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
