Our hearts are sad with the passing of Earl Allen Cosman on January 3, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born in 1942 to Kenneth and Helen (Riedle) Cosman.  Earl leaves behind his wife Sylvia, his loving daughter Debby Cosman (George Robichaud), stepson Chris Flanagan, stepdaughter Stacy (Mike Dolan), granddaughters Avery, Emmy, Genevieve and Mira.  He is also survived by his brother Douglas Cosman (Louise), sisters Bertha Cosman and Anna Goddard (Frank) along with several nieces and nephews. Earl enjoyed a special relationship with his niece Lynn Wallace providing him with many needs, supporting him and keeping in touch regularly throughout his illness.

Earl was predeceased by brothers Stephen Cosman (Shirley) and Walter Cosman (Jeannette).

Earl grew up helping his Dad on the farm in Millstream along with his brothers and sisters.  As a teenager in 1960, he went to work with the Canadian National Railways completing an apprenticeship as a Boilermaker in 1965 where he was employed until retirement in 1993.  Earl enjoyed spending time with his pride and joy daughter Debby and his family, travelling with Sylvia, meeting friends regularly at a tavern and Tim Horton’s and watching NASCAR.  For many years his passion was his Harley Davidson enjoying rides with Sylvia, Debby and friends, and attending the rallies in Laconia, New Hampshire.

The family wish to express a heartfelt Thank You to Dr. Nadine Roy, Doris-Ann Savoie Palliative Oncology Nurse and the nurses in the Georges Dumont Palliative Care Unit (Chloe, Pauline, Donna) who went above and beyond to treat Earl with kindness and respect.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007). There will be no visitation.
