Art Clowes of Riverview, New Brunswick passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at The Moncton Hospital.  Born in Woodstock he was the son of the late Harry and Kathleen Bastible  Clowes. 

He had a life-long successful career with CN with 36 years service (1959-1995). Upon his retirement, Art volunteered at the New Brunswick Railroad Museum in Hillsborough, New Brunswick. Art worked tirelessly at the museum, he enjoyed his summers at the railroad and took great pride in his work, he loved everything about trains from their styles, colors, to their unique sounds of the whistles. He was the author of The Street Railways of Moncton, New Brunswick, which was published in 1992.

He will be dearly missed by his brothers, Al (Helen) Bryant, Wayne (Evelyn) Bryant, nephews, Peter Bryant and Michael Bryant, nieces, Heather Hazlett,  Mariane Bryant.  Aside from his parents he was predeceased by brothers Douglas Bryant, Jim Bryant, Lawrence Bryant; sisters, Thelma Kidney, Florence Kidney and Shirley Grainger.

Art’s family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2-4 pm  to share memories and celebrate his life.  A committal service will take place at a later date in the Kirk Cemetery in North Hampton, New Brunswick.
