Wesley John Carter, 72, of Riverview, NB, and formerly of
Kouchibouguac, NB, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 at th
Moncton City Hospital. Wesley was born in Kouchibouguac on September
9, 1939, was the son of the late James and Pearl (MacDonald) Carter,
and retired from Lounsbury Chevrolet Oldsmobile in 2005 after 23 years
of service there.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Gwyeneth (Gwen), sons, Robert, Jeffrey and James (Kim) of Moncton, and Gregory of Riverview; grandchildren, Nick and Liam Carter of Calgary, AB; Brie (daughter of Lisa Carter), Jesse and Joey Carter of Moncton; sisters, Mildred Carter, Violet O’Connor (late Joseph), Audrey Collins (late Guy), Caroline Miller (Brian) and Peggy Tidd (Kenneth) all of Moncton; Mary (Mamie) Glencross (Vance) of Rexton, NB; Betty Anne Potter (Melvin) of Deep River, ON; and Debbie Stewart (Craig) of Kouchibouguac, NB; a brother Wayne (Janice) of McKees Mills; sisters in law Joyce Goodwin (late Albert), and Bernice Carter (late Ralph) both of Moncton; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Wesley was predeceased by a son David, grandson Jason, sister Joyce Amos, brother Ralph, as well as an infant brother Victor.
The family will be receiving friends and visitors at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, January 30, at 2 PM with Father Bernard Sloan officiating. The interment will follow at the Fair Haven Cemetery. Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Extra Mural Driscoll Unit, or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
