Norma Oneida Bishop, of Monarch Hall, Riverview, NB, passed away with her loving family at her side at her residence on Saturday, March 28, 2015, following a lengthy illness. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She had been employed with T. Eaton Co. for over 45 years, and was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. In her earlier years, Norma was an avid bridge player and bowler, but her greatest passion was her love of her grandchildren.

Norma will be lovingly remembered by her family; sons, Franklin (Joanne) of Pte. Du Chene, NB, Rodney of Rosevale, NB; daughter, Karin Steeves (Ian) of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Elaine (Ken) Hoekstra, Leigh Bishop (Doug), Jill Steeves, Dean Steeves (Jacquelyn), Sally Steeves (Greg), Kent Steeves, Lindsey Bishop (Norm), Brent Bishop (Lailanie), as well as several great-grandchildren. Norma was predeceased by her husband Rae Ora Bishop (1981) and daughter-in-law Vickie Bishop (2014).

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007), on Wednesday, April 1 from 6:00-8:00 PM. With a service celebrating Norma’s life to take place on Thursday, April 2 at 1:00 PM to be held at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Frank Trail officiating, the interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring. Donations made to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and the staff at Monarch Hall, for their compassion and care of Norma. Online condolences can be made at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
