Shirley Lewis of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, formerly
of Elmwood Dr., passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont University
Hospital on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Born in Steeves Mountain, NB,
she was the daughter of the late Levis and Jenny (Hope) Lutes and
retired from Eaton Co. Ltd. where she worked many years in their glove
and hosiery department.
She will be dearly missed by her loving daughters, Sharron
Macdonald (David) of Riverview, Donna Prosser (Lloyd) of Riverview;
sons, Brian Lewis of Moncton, Greg Lewis (Helena) of Hillsborough;
sisters, Thelma Steeves, Louise Lawther (Wayne) of Moncton, Pauline
Lutes of Moncton; brother Lea Lutes of Toronto, ON; several
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and
many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Shirley was predeceased
by her husband, Walter, in 1978, sisters, Stella Tingley, Jean
Lockhart, Doris Jones, and grandson, Ryan.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview, (869-2007) on Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00pm. A service
celebrating Shirley’s life will take place from
Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 26,
2015 at 3:00pm with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. The interment will
take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations made to the Heart
and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly
