Hermie Reid of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, formerly of Riverview, passed away at her residence on Monday, May 25, 2015. Born in Chandler, PQ, she was the daughter of the late Alexis and Christine Degarie (Savoie).

Hermie was a former secretary and treasurer for the Federal Superannuates National Association. She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she was very involved with the Ladies’ Society. She was a life member of the NB Women’s Institute. She was a member of the Bridgedale Community Center and spent much of her time volunteering at different events.

She will be deeply missed by her loving children, Norma of Moncton, Janet (Ritchie Hughes) of Hampton, Robert (Susan) of Riverview, Bill (Lonni) of Hillsborough, Andrew of Nepean, ON and Richard of Nepean, ON; her 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Hermie was predeceased by her husband, Angus; brothers, Raymond, Robert, Patrice and Armand; grandson, Ian; and granddaughter, Sarah.

The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. A funeral mass will take place from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (Fatima Dr. Riverview) on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 2:30pm with Father Charles Broderick officiating.
