Alec Boudreau of Hillsborough passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Born in Sackville, he was the son of the late Joseph Alexander and Adelaide (Leger) Boudreau.

He received his education in Toronto and later returned to New Brunswick in the 1960’s with his parents. Most of his working career was in sales, having received various awards and accommodations over the years. Though his career was in sales, Alec should have been a professional shopper/consumer as he was an expert in locating items, prices, ratings and performances of products and most importantly where to find the best buy. In his spare time he enjoyed; horse racing, watching TV, shopping and trips to Bangor and had a special place in his heart for animals and loved his dog "Cassie".

He is survived by his wife of over 47 years, Gail (Barnhill) Boudreau, sister, Althea MacGregor (Alfred) and brother, Loney Boudreau (Elaine), brother-in-law, Edward Barnhill (Ulla) and cherished friend of over 40 years, Brenda Condon. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters: Jennie, Pauline and his mother and father in law, Joan and Stan Barnhill.

A service celebrating Alec’s life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with Father Phil Mulligan Presiding. Due to COVID-19 orange restrictions, we kindly ask for all those who plan on attending to email or call the funeral home with the number in your group (bubble) as seating is limited to 25. His service will be recorded and may be viewed on the funeral home website the following day. Donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.cobbsfuneraslhome.ca

Alec’s obituary could have appeared in yesterday’s paper; however, he would have preferred it in Wednesday’s paper as that was his favorite paper as the flyers appear in it.
