Peter "Pete" Warren, devoted husband and father,
passed away early Saturday, April 17, 2021 at his home in Riverview,
New Brunswick.
Pete was born in 1950 in Moncton, to parents James and Mary
[Mailman] Warren. As a graduate of the NB School of
Technology in the field of Electronic Industrial Technology, Pete
enjoyed many years exercising his skills for CNCP Telecommunications.
Ever resilient, Pete subsequently forayed into real estate,
and was the proud owner and operator of a process servicing
firm. No stranger to public service, Pete served with
distinction as the President and Treasurer of the Riverview Lions Club
and was a proud member of the Acacia Lodge.
Always the jokester, Pete could bring laughter to any family
gathering. An avid Herman cartoon collector, his ritual was
to cut out, clip and adorn the side of the refrigerator with the daily
offerings from the T&T. Pete was also the designated adult
lifeguard for all the family kids; first one in and the last one out
of the water. As a voracious reader, he routinely devoured a
dozen novels a week on every topic from history to mystery.
Music played a major role in Pete’s life starting with his
membership in Moncton’s Maude Burbank Band playing the
trombone, trumpet, saxophone, and drums. In later years, he
played the drums for various local groups, one being the Inner Groove.
The consummate outdoorsman, he enjoyed sharing his passion for
cross-country skiing, golfing, hunting, and fishing with family and
friends. And, of course, there was never a
moment’s hesitation to help a friend in
need.
Peter is survived by his wife Debby [Brown]; two children,
Cindy [David Cooperman] and Michael; three grandchildren, Jayme Warren
[Joe Hicks]; Alexander & Christopher Myint along with his two
siblings, Gail Mikkelsen and John Warren [Terri].
He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and
sister and brother in-laws.
Peter’s family will be receiving friends and
relatives on Friday, April 23rd from 6-8
pm. A service to celebrate his life will take place at the
funeral home on Saturday, April 24th, at 11:00
am with Rev. Steve Berube presiding. For those attending his service,
please call the funeral home to reserve your seat. His
arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and
