With sadness and love the family of Ronald G Davis announce
his passing on April 19, 2021 at The Moncton Hospital with his loving
family by his side. Ronald was born December 6, 1941 in Peterborough
Ontario to the late Garnet and Grace Davis.
Ron will be missed beyond words by Frances his loving wife of
59 years, together they enjoyed taking road trips in their retirement
with a special favourite being St. Andrews NB. He will also be deeply
missed by son Ted (Laurie), daughters Rhonda (Andrew) Cormier and
Brenda (Darren) Phillips and daughter-in-law Shelley Woodford. Ron was
the proudest grandfather to 7 grandchildren who will hold him dear in
their hearts Jeffrey of China, Daniel (Kiyana), Gabrielle (Owen),
Chantale (Harley), Joshua (Grace), Laurissa and Josiah all of the
greater Moncton area.
Ronald also leaves behind a brother Bob Davis, brother and
sister in-law Duane and Wendy Edgar, brother in-law Glen Dainard as
well as many nieces and nephews and close friends.
In addition to his parents Ronald was predeceased by his
sweetest angel daughter Laura Ann, in-laws Charles and Edna Edgar and
sister-in-law Patricia Dainard.
Ronald spent many years with K-mart company which is what
brought the family to Riverview in 1977 and became his true home. He
spent many years after leaving Kmart owning his own businesses and
working for various companies in Moncton. His life though can be
summed up in 3 passions: family & friends, service to his
community and hockey. Ron loved nothing more than to gather family
& friends over barbecues and conversation , he spent time as a
Riverview town councillor, was a life member of the Kinsmen Clubs of
Canada, was an advocate for victims rights and a passionate supporter
of youth in hockey spending many years with the Moncton AAA Flyers
right until the end.
We have cherished the time we have been able to spend with
Ron – a husband, father, grandfather and dear friend to many
and to say he will be greatly missed is an understatement. We will
love you forever.
