It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvon (Ivan) Doiron that occurred at the Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.  Born October 12, 1949, he was the son of the late Ovila Doiron and Theresa Gallant.

Ivan left Bujold Auto Parts (Art Bujold) Campbellton, NB to begin work at R.K. Buzzell Ltd. in 1980, working for Les Buzzell (late) and Bob Buzzell up until his retirement in 2014.  A family he loved as his own and was proud to work for.

The family would like to thank his long-term family Doctor, Dr. Jody Enright and staff, for their exceptional care provided to Ivan over the years.  He thought the world of you.  A special thank you to the medical professionals for their excellent care. There are no words to express our gratitude to each of you.

He will be dearly missed by his wife of 39 years, Cathy (Cochrane) Doiron, daughters; Christine (Shane) Lemke of Edmonton, AB and Natalie (Brian) DesRoches of Riverview.  He is survived by family members, Sister (Soeur) Viola Doiron, Filles de Marie-de-l’ Assumption, Campbellton,NB;  Médor (late Dominique), Bonaventure, QC;  Mike (Linda) Campbellton, NB;  Lynn (Marcel) Nepisiquit Falls, NB;  Claude (Micheline), St-André, NB and Jean-Guy (Linda) of Moncton, NB.  He is also survived by several nephews and nieces as well as mother of Christine, Alice (Dube) Holmes of Edmonton, AB, along with members of the Cochrane family.

Cherished grandfather to Brandan, Trystan, Kaedan Lemke of Edmonton, AB and Cole and Kaylee DesRoches of Riverview, NB.  He will also be missed by his former camping family at Sandy Beach and most recently, Gagnon Beach.

Those who wish to make donations in his honor can do so with the Moncton SPCA.  A service celebrating Yvon’s life will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 11:00 am with Father Phil Mulligan presiding.  For those wishing to attend the service, please contact the funeral home via email [email protected] or phone 869-2007 to reserve your seat and the number in your group or bubble.

Following are the stream instructions from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church

Going to our website

The morning of the funeral, people can go to www.setmoncton.com and there they’ll see the notice for the funeral and they just click on the picture and it will take them to our Facebook page and they wait there for the live-stream to start.

Going directly to our Facebook Page

People can go to the parish grouping's Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SaintElizabethoftheTrinity on Friday morning around 10:50 a.m. and wait there – the live-stream video will start about 5-10 minutes before the funeral starts, to give everyone a chance to get connected.  (They can also log into their own Facebook and search for 'Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity parish').

Using YouTube on a phone, computer, tablet

People can also wait until the funeral video has been uploaded to YouTube and then go and watch it from there.  They would just go to our church website (www.setmoncton.com) about one hour after the funeral is finished and see the YouTube link there or even easier for them, you could post the link on your own website.  I'll send you that link as soon as the upload completes.

Using YouTube on a TV

If someone has a TV that gives them access to YouTube, they can just search in YouTube for ‘SET Moncton’ and they'll see our YouTube Channel – we use a picture of Father Phil to make it easier to find.  All the Masses that we’ve live-streamed in the past few months are there and, as the newest video, Yvon’s funeral will be there at the top.
