Carole Hendy of Riverview passed away Monday, September 20 at The Faubourg du Mascaret in Moncton. Born in Upper Coverdale (Ritchie Road), she was the daughter of the late Scott and Annie (Irving) Ritchie.

Prior to starting her family Carole worked at the T. Eaton Company. She loved her family dearly and took care of not only her grandchildren yet so many other children over the years, she was like a second mother to many of them. She enjoyed the simple things in life; bird watching, working in her flower bed, doing puzzles, and was an awesome baker. She was an avid hockey fan and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren play the sport. Carole and her husband, Ron along with their family, took several family vacations to Florida over the years.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of over 62 years, Ronald (Ron) Hendy, sons: Trent (Jenny) and Trevor (JoEllen), sisters; Sheila Lund, Jean Allen (Herman), Mina Steeves, Prudence Harmer (Bill) and Donna Steeves (Charles), brother in law, Gordon Hendy (Blanche), sister in laws; Shirley, Olive, Carol and Doris Ritchie, grandchildren; Kelly (Michael), Kandace (Adam), Samantha (Amin) and Seth, great grandchildren; Ty, Nate, Gabby, Allie, Stephanie and Benjamin as wells as several nieces and nephews .Besides her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Audrey Seeley and a brothers; Greg, Vernon, Lloyd and Scott Ritchie, brother in laws Cameron Lund and Lotan Steeves.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview on Friday, September 24, 2021 from 2-4 pm for a time to share and celebrate Carole’s life. The internment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
