Anna Marie Ferguson of Riverview and formerly of Miramichi passed Sunday, October 10, 2021 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Edna (Girouard) Ferguson. She was predeceased by her sisters Trudy Ferguson, Mai Martin, and Marlene Presti.
Anna spent over 20 years working at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home in Miramichi. Her greatest gift she leaves this world is the love she had for her family, her friends, and her strong belief in prayers. Her family was big because her friends were her family by choice. She always offered more than she had and gave to whoever she could. She had a way with words that would make you smile and laugh that would touch your soul. Anna was very social and having so many people in her life that she loved was by far the highlight to her days and her phones calls kept her connected. She loved her adventures weather it was to NS to see her sisters or a trip back home to be with her cousins and friends. She moved to Riverview in 2005 so she could be close to her grandchildren and watch them grow up. They were so important to her, she told everyone how much she loved her children and grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Charles Comeau (Tara) of Miramichi and her daughter Jessica MacDonald (David) of Riverview, sisters: Lorraine King (Larry) of Cole Harbour NS, Rose-Marie Stewart (Robert) of Miramichi, her cherished grandchildren Kendra and Coleman and her fur girl Kaycee, many nieces and nephews, cousins and so many friends.
A service celebrating her life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview on Thursday, October 28 at 2:30 pm with Rev Jullian Pillay presiding. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service at 2:30 PM. Those wishing to attend visitation and/or the service must have photo ID and proof of double vaccination. Donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
