We are saddened to
announce the passing of James Robinson MacFarlane of Riverview on
October 22, 2021 at the Salvation Army Lakeview Manor. He was born in
Sydney Mines, NS in 1951 to the late William and Ellen (Robinson)
MacFarlane.
James did a little bit
of everything over his lifetime, from cooking on an Army base in
Germany, to working in manufacturing at Advanced Glazings in Sydney,
to helping with patient care in many different departments at The
Moncton Hospital, which he retired from after 12 wonderful years.
Outside of work, he had many hobbies: refurnishing furniture,
gardening, travelling, finding and trying new restaurants, and
painting houses – often for his friends, family, or
coworkers. James was born again on December 16, 1992 and was in
fellowship at the Moncton Gospel Hall.
Besides his parents,
he is predeceased by his brother William, father-in-law Bill, and
mother-in-law Joan. He will be sadly mourned by his loving wife
Cynthia (London-Doyle), sister Christine, brothers Robert (Mary
Frances) and David (Allana), numerous nieces and nephews from both the
MacFarlane and London families, and his beloved pups Murphy and
Jakks.
A committal has taken
place at Alderwood Cemetery and his arrangements have been entrusted
to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 330 Whitepine
Road in Riverview (869-2007). In lieu of flowers, donations to the
Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the
family.
