Gerald Dunlop of Osborne Corner, NB, passed away suddenly on
January 14, 2022 at his home with his wife Jean and daughter Yvette by
his side. Born in Maccan, NS, he was the son of the late Bert and Mary
(Matheson) Dunlop.
He will be dearly
missed by his loving wife of 62 years Jean (Deveau) Dunlop, daughter
Yvette (James) Hoyt of Osborne Corner, son Earl (Wendy) of
Riverview, grandson Jesse Dunlop of Moncton, brothers Doug,
Donald, Jerry, Alfred, and Larry of Ontario, sister Marion of
Ontario, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his
parents, Gerald was predeceased by his sister Dorothy and his three
brothers James, Robert, and Lester.
Gerald was a loving family
man. In his younger years he was a Truck Trailer and
Automotive Mechanic. He loved to fish and hunt. In his later years he
was proud to volunteer his time as a Shriner and, with their mini car
unit.
He enjoyed spending time
outdoors and gardening. His biggest joy was his family and spending
time with them.
His family will be receiving
friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation
Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Saturday, May 28,
2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Cobb's Funeral Home, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview
(869-2007). Donations to the Shriner's Children Hospital in Montreal
or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by
the family.
