Winifred (Winnie) Steeves of Riverview passed away peacefully on May 21, 2022 at Monarch Hall. Born in Canaan Station, she was the daughter of the late Foster and Nellie (Thorp) Sherwood. She was formerly employed with the Times & Transcript and was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.

She will be deeply missed by her sons Ron (Judy) of Fredericton, Brian (Martha)of Riverview; daughter in law Phyllis Steeves Barton; grandchildren: Dr Tanya (Bradley) Wood, Kirk (Christine), Bruce (Carol), Colin and Lynden (Krista); great-grandchildren: Alex, Kait, Brendan, Trinten, Breanna, Olivia, Jaden, Jaxson; great-great grandchildren Addisyn and Declan; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Leverett, sisters Florence, Eileen, Annie and Elsie and granddaughter Melanie.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 10:00am until 11:00am. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home following her visitation on Wednesday at 11:00am with Rev. Blair Holden officiating. Donations can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
