It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vernon Kierstead of Lakeville which occurred at The Moncton Hospital.

Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Russell and Norma (Baizley) Kierstead.

Vernon was an industrial mechanic at Eastern Bakeries until his retirement.  In his 20’s he drove a stock car at Riverglade Speedway.  He was an avid dart player and enjoyed auto mechanics.  He was a "jack of all trades" at home.  Vern was always happy to help a friend and was dedicated to his family.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 50 years Debbie (Wilmot) Kierstead; daughters Angela and Stacey Kierstead; son Christopher Kierstead; sisters Jackie (David) Price, Irma Kierstead, Ghita (Gene) Gaudet and many nieces and nephews.

Respecting his wishes there will be no visiting or funeral service.  Arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007).
