Ronald [Ron] Marcoux, 82, of Riverview, New Brunswick, passed
away after a short illness at the Moncton Hospital on October 18, 2022
with his loving family by his side.
Ron was born in Alexandria, Ontario, son of the late Leopold
and Lena [Larocque] Marcoux.
Ron worked as a salesman mostly in the wire rope, abrasives
and later in the refrigeration industries. His passion was
sports, especially hockey, at which he excelled as a young player. He
coached his boys in the Riverview Minor Hockey program and later
enjoyed watching his grandchildren from the stands. He could always be
seen toting his thermos of tea with plenty of honey, whether in the
garden or in the wild blueberry patch.
This wonderful man is survived by his wife of 58 years,
Jeannine [Nowlan], his sons Mark [Anne Edgett], Glenn [Lisa Arthur],
Paul [Sharon Lewis] and his daughter Lynn [Troy Adams], his
grandchildren Tom, Grace, John, Angus, Billy, Catie and James Marcoux,
Myla Marcoux and Jack and Anna Adams, his great grandson Robert, his
sisters-in-law Sheila Marcoux and Dianne Nowlan and brother-in-law
Paul Nowlan. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Ron was pre-deceased by his brothers
Gerald and Robert and sister-in-law Mary Ann.
For many years, Ron suffered from OCD and he has at last
found peace of mind. Therefore, in lieu of flowers,
donations to atlanticwellness.org (506)-382-0298 or to the Canadian
Mental Health Association cmha.ca (416)-646-5557 would be greatly
appreciated.
Cremation has already taken place. Visitation will be at
