It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of
Terry McSheffrey on October 31, 2022, who died peacefully at home with
his family by his side. Terry was diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, a
rare form of cancer in June 2022. He fought a short but courageous
battle.
Terry is the son of Agnes McLaughlin-McSheffrey and the late
Herbie McSheffrey of Wakefield, Quebec.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 22 years, Lorna and
his twins, Cole, and Madison, at home; Siblings, twin sister Teresa,
Moncton, Victor (Mary) Ottawa and Peter (Kelly) Winchester,
Ontario.
Terry dedicated 42 years in the fire alarm industry, starting
with Edwards in Ottawa, as a technician, group leader and later sales.
In 2011, he moved to New Brunswick to work with Troy Life and Fire
Safety Ltd in sales. He loved his work and many of his customer have
become long time friends.
Terry loved being a dad, teaching his children how to ski,
drive a car and changing a tire. He spent his time at
Maddy’s soccer games, coaching Cole’s soccer teams
over several summers and hanging out with the kids. The family enjoyed
many trips together, Skiing in Quebec and North Conway, Florida,
Hawaii, most recently Spain and France for Terry’s
60th Birthday. We are a family that enjoyed
spending time together.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, motorcycling, his
mom’s butterscotch pie, Friday nights at home with Lorna and
watching the games of his beloved Ottawa Senators.
