Fred Wilson of Rosevale passed away at his home on Saturday, December 24, 2022.  Born in Colpitts Settlement, he was the son of the late Hugh and Freda (Geldart) Wilson.  He had retired following a 31 year career as a Firefighter with the Moncton Fire department.

Fred enjoyed time spent with his close friends whether that be playing a game of cards, darts, or watching NASCAR. Yet in recent years he couldn’t wait to go camping once the nice weather arrived.

He will be dearly missed by his step-daughter Gerry Hennebury (Gerard), grandsons; Justin and Evan, his partner, Beth Baird and her children; Ryan and Alexis  Aside from his parents he was predeceased by his wife Cecile Wilson (McCarthy), sister Norma Leaman, brother Hugh Wilson Jr. and a grandson, Trevor.

Respecting his wishes cremation has taken place at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007).  His interment will take place in the Nixon Cemetery at a later date.
