It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edna Kay of Riverview, which occurred Saturday, January 14, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Lower Coverdale, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Bernadine (Steeves) Hyslop.

Edna was a true entrepreneur having left her government job to pursue her passion of owning her own business. For over 3 decades she owned and operated Kay’s Custom Framing in Riverview. Over the years through her business, she didn’t only build up a faithful clientele but developed many lasting friendships.

She will be dearly missed by her son Steven Kay (Kaddi Kadima), a sister Margaret Anderson (Jacques), brothers Robert (Joan), Raymond (Lorraine), and Arnold Hyslop, two cherished grandchildren Brendan and Noah Kay, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband George in 2019, a sister Linda Hart, and a nephew Dale Robertson.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday from 6-8 PM, with a service celebrating her life to take place from the funeral home on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 1pm with Pastor Jodie LeBouthillier presiding.
