We are devastated to announce the sudden and unexpected death of Jamie Fillmore on January 15, 2023, at his home. Born in Grand Bank, NL, he was the son of Larry Fillmore (Coralie) and Margaret (Dunford) Brushett.

Jamie worked in forestry in silver culturing, which went hand-in-hand with his love of the outdoors. He specifically loved fishing and four-wheeling. Fast cars always caught his attention, and he was a collector of many things, especially shoes. He was the most giving and forgiving person with the biggest heart we’ve ever known. He loved deeply, was known to trust too hard, and could always be counted on to spoil the kids around him.

Besides his parents, left to mourn his absence are his wife Megan (Snelgrove) and her children Dakota, Mackaden, and Skyler, whom he loved as his own. Also surviving him are his sisters Nancy and Rebecca (Ian), brothers Danny (Sari) and Kenny, and his beloved nephews Joshua, Lucas, Matthew, and niece Amanda and Nanny (Sandra) Wetmore. Jamie was predeceased by his stepdad David Brushett, nephew Tyler, and brother in law Brent Wetmore.

His family will receive friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd, Riverview (869-2007) on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 1-3pm, with a time to share memories and celebrate his life at 3pm. Donations to Habitat for Humanity would be greatly appreciated by his family. For those unable to attend, the celebration will be livestreamed and recorded; please click here to register.
