Carol Spidell of Riverview passed away at The Moncton Hospital on January 18, 2023. Born in Halifax, NS, she was the daughter of the late R. Bliss and Brenda (O’Hearn) Moore.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, John (Jack) Spidell; sons, Scott (Chrissie), Darren (Tracy), and Jeff (Nicki); grandchildren Michael, Tyler, Jamie, and Molly.
Carol attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, and was a member of the Ladies Society. Carol was an avid competitive curler having represented the province of N.B. for 3 years in the Canadian Women’s Curling Championship and she was also a former member of the Beaver Curling Club. She also had a passion for golf. Carol loved her family and extended family including all the dogs that she and Jack and the children had over the years, and enjoyed travelling to Florida.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday, January 22nd from 1-3pm. A service celebrating Carol’s life will take place from the funeral home on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 11am with Father Charlie Broderick officiating. A reception will follow. Donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
