It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Milton (Joey) who went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023 at the Moncton Hospital at the age of 80.

Joey was born in Hillsborough, the youngest son of Delbert and Elsie (McCoubrey) Milton.

He was a barber by trade and provided haircuts to many of the men in Albert County.  Also Joey later worked at the Hillsborough Kiwanis Club and enjoyed socializing with all the members.  He lived most of his life by his mother Elsie’s side.  They had a very special bond.  Joey and Elsie lived for many years with Joan and Bob.  Joey was a great help to Joan as they shared the loving role of looking after their Mother together.  He had many friends and they loved to play cribbage together and travelled to many tournaments.

In his later years, Joey moved to Lakeview Towers where he met many new friends.  He always had a joke for everyone he would meet and loved to tease the ladies.  Joey was very social, playing cribbage and hanging out.  Once in Riverview he attended the Whitepine Baptist Church and faithfully went every Sunday.

He will be deeply missed by his brother in law Bob; his sister in law Viola; his nieces Janice, Dawn and Maurenia; his nephew Timmy and all their families.  Joey was predeceased by his older brother Merrill and older sister Joan.

Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007).  Donations made to a charity of choice would be appreciated by his family.  A private graveside service will be held at Grey’s Island at a later date with the family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
