Capt. Albert John Gay passed away on March 12, 2023 at the
Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital. Born in Tracadie
he was the son of the late Donald and Myrtle (Robichaud)
Gay.
John was extremely proud of his military service having
served 24 years with the Canadian Armed Forces with the Royal
22e Régiment (Vandoos) and he also
served on the Neguac Village Council. Following his
retirement, he founded AJG Consulting Services. In his spare time, he
enjoyed assisting veterans, fishing, and spending time with his
beloved granddaughters.
John will be dearly missed by his wife Claire (Forbes) Gay;
daughters Alison Gay (Dan Madore), Nancy Pinette (Stephane Lefebvre);
son David Gay (Shantell); sisters Connie Morrison, Lynn Savoie, Helen
Savoie, brother Danny (Doreen); grandchildren Jennifer, Jessica, Jade,
Alyssa, Rebecca; great grandchildren: Océane,
Céleste, William and several nieces and nephews; his best
friends Freeman Allain, Jack Goodman; his dear friends : Imar Breau,
Achille Comeau, Jean-Marc Ferguson, Yvon Ferguson and Valmond
Muise.
Aside from his parents he was predeceased by a brother
William (Bill) Gay.
A time to share memories and celebrate John’s life
will take place on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 1:00 – 3:00
pm at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330
