Harold (Kirk) Rogers of Riverview passed peacefully away
following a short illness at the Albert Hospice House in Moncton, N.B.
Born in St. John’s NL he was the son of the late Harold
& Myrtle Rogers (Pope).
Leaving with fond and loving memories his wife of 46 years
Susan (Dwyer), his sons Devin (Lisa) and Glenn, his granddaughters
Emily and Olivia who were the light of his life and whom he dearly
loved, his siblings Glenn Rogers (Julie), Gail Vaughan (Dennis) and
Sharon Connolly (Brendan Quigley), as well as his sisters and
brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews in the Rogers and Dwyer families
and a large circle of friends across the country and in
Florida.
Kirk grew up in Mt. Pearl where his antics were well known to
his many friends and family. Upon moving to Grand Falls
early in his work life, he married the love of his life Susan who
became his lifelong partner and shared in his life
adventures. Kirk was an accomplished professional in the
insurance industry and continued in this work until his
death.
Although he was dedicated to his work he never shied away
from trying something new: riding his Harley, travelling South,
downhill skiing and boating. But the thing that Kirk will
always be remembered for is his kindness to others. He never
hesitated to do what he could for you and was never a stranger long to
those he met along his life’s journey.
A celebration of Kirk’s life will take place later
this summer in Newfoundland. The arrangements are entrusted to
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd,
Riverview, NB (506-869-2007). Donations in Kirk’s memory may
