William (Bill) McNichol, of Riverview, passed away suddenly at home on April 21, 2023. Born in Saint John, Bill was the son of the late William and Mavis (Downey) McNichol.

Bill was a lawyer for his career and in retirement was able to spend time with his family that he loved dearly. He will be missed and remembered by his beloved wife of 49 years Nicole, daughters: Judy (Jonathan Gerrits) McNichol, Jami-Lyn (Pierre Brideau) McNichol, son-in-law, Scott Powers, sister, Mary Jean McNichol, grandchildren: Liam Kelly, Gabriel McNichol and his several nieces and nephews and extended family.

Aside from his parents, Bill was predeceased by his daughter Krista Powers, who he had dearly missed.

Bill was loved by so many and played such an important role in the lives of those he touched. While his girls were in school, he took in several of his daughters' friends and treated them as his own. A man who would take the shirt off his back for anyone who needed, forsaking his own needs for the love of others. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have called him friend.

Bill’s family will be receiving family and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with parish prayers at 7:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at Holy Family Church 52 Falkland St. Moncton at 11:00am. Donations in Bill’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
