Audrey Melanson of Riverview passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 at The Moncton Hospital.  Born in Indian Mountain she was the daughter of the late John and Neta (Rogers) Budd.

She was employed as a nurse in the Emergency Dept. at The Moncton Hospital and later worked at Dr. William Fitch’s office. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.  In their earlier years Audrey and Ed had a very active social life going to dances, parties and playing cards.  Audrey was a member of the Fiddling Friends Group.  She also enjoyed spending time in her gardens and at the camp at Ford’s Mills.

Audrey will be dearly missed by her daughters Donna (Gordon) MacHardie, Patty Hartlen; sons Eddy (Kathy) Melanson, Michael (Tammy) Melanson, Andrew (Tanya) Melanson, Paul (Cheryle) Melanson; brother Albert Budd (Mary Lou); twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Aside from her parents she was predeceased by her husband Edward, brothers and sisters Joan, Arlene, Raymond, Leonard, Ronald, John and Mildred.

Audrey’s’ family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 6 – 8 pm with parish prayers at 7:30 pm.

A service to celebrate her life will take place at the funeral home on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:00 am with Father Phil Mulligan presiding.  Audrey’s service can be viewed by simply clicking on the link on her obituary. Burial will take place at the Alderwood Cemetery.  Donations made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
